This sample itinerary is best October 2-3rd, 2010, during the Annual Big Island Rendezvous & Festival.

10 – 1:00 pm
Arrive in Albert Lea, “The Land Between the Lakes’. Park the motorcoach at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds and take the free shuttle to the Annual Big Island Rendezvous & Festival. It’s Minnesota’s largest award-winning fur trade and early American re-enactment, with over 1,000 participants. Experience the fur trade period in the Voyageur encampment, Native American Tipi Tours, and Early American crafts such as candle making, blacksmiths and woodworking to name a few.

1 – 2:30 pm
Step back in time at Freeborn County Historical Museum. Visit their stagecoaches, hotel, carriages, autos, railroads, railway station and more in their Pioneer Village. Also home to both the “Minnesota Rock & Country Hall of Fame” and to Marion Ross, of the “Happy Days” TV show fame.

2:30 – 3:30 pm
Visit the large indoor showroom at Bergdale Harley-Davidson! Vintage Harley-Davidson’s on display, new and pre-owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles and a full line of Harley-Davidson genuine parts and accessories.

3:30 – 4:30 pm
Your group will enjoy Greibrok’s Mini History Farm & County Fair! There is an extensive collection of more than 700 model tractors, trucks, cars, farm machinery, steam engines, airplanes and other toys assembled in various themes throughout the unique 39-room farmhouse. Call ahead.

4:30 – 5:30 pm
Before you head out, swing into the Pizza Ranch for a pizza and chicken buffet. Mmm Mmm Good!
