Shawn Sweeney grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota, and is a seasoned freelance writer with 12 years experience. He has embraced Minnesota's culture and helped local/regional businesses and the state's tourism industry to thrive, grow and succeed.

Shawn has written numerous special sections tourism articles, been published in Mpls./St. Paul magazine (10/05), and recently has been named Senior Writer/Editor for Itineraries Minnesota, the state's top group tour magazine.

Advertising and marketing are at the backbone of Shawn's talents and experience. From award-winning branding campaigns for Leech Lake Tourism bureau to spontaneous ad development for different segments of the state and most recently his work with Hobbit Travel, Shawn truly has proven he belongs in Minnesota and loves helping the state prosper.
